Rihanna Talks About Chris Brown to UK Cosmo Magazine

Rihanna pulls double duty as she provides a cover and revealing interview for the UK’s version of the mag across the pond. In it, the 23-year old pop star opens up about love, focusing on her music career in lieu of relationships and even speaks about her time with R&B crooner Chris Brown.

While it may be hard to believe for some, the Loud singer is currently single after a split Los Angeles Dodgers baseball player Matt Kemp last December. However, it appears that the vivacious Ms. Fenty is open to the idea of love. “I’m open to love. But guys should have to earn it. Because the minute they get it, they want something else,” she explains. “Men are like hunters: they like the chase. So you have to keep ’em guessing. Actually, I’m like that too. I get bored quickly. So if someone can make me laugh, that’s the best.”

Rihanna’s comments on Chris Brown, with whom the singer had a violent domestic spat in 2009, showed that while the turbulent time has been put well behind her that it changed her entire persona. “It was a very aggressive and defensive time, and that allowed me to start not giving a sh–. I walked around with a very f— you attitude,” said Rihanna to Cosmo. “I’ve always been good at masking my emotions. For me, it’s tougher to be vulnerable than to be tough.”

Rihanna also admitted she may be “intimidating” to date given her fame and stature and also stated that her music career is her primary focus. Still, there remains hope that guys out there have a shot. “I’m turned on to a guy by different things. It could be the way he looks. It could be his intelligence. It’s really a spontaneous thing,” Rihanna shared.
